For larger events we can supply more if required but one Smartie Artie is all you need for a birthday party.
Yes a facepainter can work very well with a Smartie Artie.
We provide any event where children need to be entertained.
1. Set the mood and help us to find you! Tie a bunch of balloons to the door or gate.
2. Garden Party? Please put away all toys -especially those with wheels!- as they are a big distraction.
3. Smartie Artie organises the whole afternoon. So please make sure that the time on the invitations is the same time you’ve booked Smartie Artie for! He will in fact arrive 15 minutes before the guests to set up.
4. Smartie Artie mixes Magic with Games & Competitions. So please arrange for the children to sit on the floor, they can see better, are more comfortable and more controllable than when seated on chairs!
5. “Dear wots yer name, thanks for the thingamabob”. It’s always better to save the presents until after the party & make a list of who sent what. So get a large cardboard box to put the presents in safely as the guests arrive.
6. Who’s party is it anyway? Discourage adults other than family from staying at the party. If they insist, gently remind them that the quieter they can stay, the better your child’s party will be! More parties are spoiled by the din from chattering adults than for any other reason. That said, parents who do sit quietly and watch the show are always more than welcome
7. Was that Smartie Artie I heard over those bursting balloons, squeakers, blowers and party poppers? Save all of those things (and party hats) until tea time. Then collect them up at the end of tea, putting them in the “loot bags” for taking home. Balloons are best tied up out of reach - never lose on the floor!
8. Party Poppers can BURN!! Small children should ALWAYS be supervised if you decide to put party poppers on the tea table. Remember - they are fireworks and have been known to burn small hands if used incorrectly.
9. Don’t sit in that Jelly Jennifer! It’s best whenever possible to arrange the tea in a separate room, so that if anything gets spilled the party continues in another area - safe and dry! Never serve ice-cream, sweets etc. during the show - it’s asking for trouble! Most of the food will get into the carpet and their sticky fingers will get everywhere!
10. Could Jimmy come out now, just 20 seconds before the grand climax of the whole afternoon? If this happens the children, quite naturally, get very upset - not to mention the disruption caused for the other guests! Whenever possible, try to get parents who arrive early to wait until the performance is over.
11. Yes, we do believe that your Doberman is just a lamb at heart! Please keep all dogs, cats, pythons and crocodiles in another room as they can be frightening to small children however good they are usually.
A Few Suggestions to make your party a “SMARTIER” one.
Do you do just Birthday parties?
Can we have a facepainter with a Smartie Artie ?
If you feed them in the garden the distraction element still applies.
